• In the short time it takes to fill up with the wrong fuel, you have created hazardous waste in your fuel tank.

After filling up with the wrong fuel, vehicles must be handled professionally to prevent further damage. On modern vehicles, fuel can no longer be pumped out of the tank using a hose inserted through the fuel filler neck. 

 

Depending on the manufacturer and vehicle type, components such as filters and rollover valves may be fitted. On vehicles with saddle tanks, many parts have to be removed and refitted to empty the fuel tank. On many vehicles, electric fuel pumps also have to be bypassed, which requires the ability to read and understand vehicle wiring diagrams. Depending on the vehicle, components in the engine compartment may also need to be removed, inspected, cleaned, tested and refitted. 

 

Because vehicle parts must be removed and refitted as part of this work, it is considered regulated vehicle repair work requiring a master craftsman qualification. This regulated trade must also be registered with the relevant Chamber of Crafts. To do so, the business must hold the appropriate master craftsman qualification or an equivalent qualification in motor vehicle technology.

1. Please never let your vehicle be damaged by COMPANIES!! or individuals who do not work in the automotive industry and cannot demonstrate the appropriate training. This applies especially to the following work: 
1. Removing, and especially installing parts on your vehicle.
2. Working on your vehicle’s fuel lines .
3. Working on your vehicle’s electrical wiring or electronic components .
