Of 287 call-outs between June and October 2026, almost one in three calls came in the evening or at night (94), and one in five call-outs fell on a weekend (58). The night or weekend surcharge is no more than €20 and is already included in the maximum price: from €95 incl. VAT, usually around €300 including call-out and disposal, never more than €600, fixed price agreed by phone in advance.
When do people put in the wrong fuel?
Most calls come in during the day – but by no means all of them. Of 287 calls, 60 came between 6 and 10 p.m. and 34 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. In the evening and at night people are tired, fill up at an unfamiliar filling station or drive a hire car they don't know – a familiar situation for travellers passing through Germany.

Night call-outs: what we have seen
In ten of the 34 calls between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., the engine had not yet been started – the drivers had done the right thing. Where the mix-up was known, it was petrol in a diesel seven times, diesel in a petrol car six times and AdBlue in the diesel tank four times. All 34 vehicles were able to drive on after our call-out. How a night call-out works
- Leave the engine off – and the ignition too. At the filling station, push the car aside after checking with the staff.
- Call us: +49 177 3555403. Tell us the location, the vehicle, what fuel went in and whether the engine was running. We speak German and English.
- Fixed price on the phone: you know in advance what it will cost and when we will arrive.
- On site: we drain the wrong fuel, flush the system if needed and dispose of everything via the official collection point.
- Drive on: in most cases you can carry on straight away.

- In Düsseldorf usually within 15–35 minutes, elsewhere within 30–45 minutes. We give you the arrival time on the phone.
- Should I wait until morning?
- No, not if you are on the road: a car with the wrong fuel in the tank must not be started, and at the filling station it often blocks the pump. Call us – we come at night too. The only important thing: leave the engine off.
